Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge has partnered with award-winning photographer Michael Bednar to lead photography tours with grizzly bears in the Khutzeymateen Grizzly Bear Sanctuary. The tours are directed towards those specifically looking to improve their photography skills in a wild and extraordinary setting. 
 
The group size of 8 maximum participants allows for individual tips and instruction so you can get the shots you want. The tour is ideal for amateur photographers of all levels.
 
Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is the home base for the tour. We will be out bear viewing and exploring for an average of 5-6 hours every day. Returning to the lodge, there will be time to download your images, charge your batteries, discuss the day’s photography and receive tips and advice.

INCLUDED ON YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY TOUR:

• Your return float plane transportation from Prince Rupert. 

• All chef prepared meals, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. We provide wine/beer with dinner (you are welcome to bring in your own alcohol).

• Cozy rooms with queen sized beds (one per room) and two shared bathrooms with showers.

• Stand up paddleboards and sea kayaks

• Fishing gear for casting and jigging from the dock (a salt water fishing licence is required).

• Wood fired sauna

• Outdoor campfire

• Photography instruction and mentoring in the wild with evening debriefs and editing tips.
